SAVE-THE-DATE for a Black Friday (11/29) Better-than-Shopping Workday
This year we will be joining our super volunteer, Curt Long, at his worksite at the River Trails Nature Center in Northbrook busting buckthorn instead of doors!

BE PREPARED: Brushcutting workdays mean brushpile fires and sparks may fly. Wear old clothes. Natural fibers like cotton or wool are best. Dress in layers because you are sure to warm up from the work and the fire. Don't forget your drinking water.

Not to be outdone, this weekend we also hosted the Palatine High School Service Club, 15 students with several faculty, on Sunday in Deer Grove West. (Two not shown in this photo.) The students did a great job of buckthorn eradication. Very on-task, followed instruction very well, a great job! We hope to see you guys back at Deer Grove!
The members of Troop 10 living the Scout values of “…helpful, friendly, courteous…” joined us to sow prairie seeds. Great work, guys!
